This function obtains a selector entry for the thread.


handle thread

The handle of the thread whose selector entry is to be obtained.

unsigned selector

The global or local descriptor value present in the thread's descriptor table for which information is required.

void* entry

A pointer to a thread descriptor structure that is updated to hold the requested information.



true The function succeeded.
false The call failed.


The entry may be used to convert a segmented address to a virtual 32 bit address.

This method is useful only for Intel based platforms.
