character* get_environment_strings()

This function obtains a pointer to the environment of the calling process.



A pointer to the environment for the process.


This function allocates memory, copies the environment to the allocated memory and returns a pointer to that memory. The function free_environment_strings should be called to free the memory once the application has completed using the environment.

The function set_environment_variable should be used to update an environment variable.

The environment retrieved by this function may be passed to the function create_process.
